Konferencja - Towards to Construction 4.0 and the future of this sector in the digital era
Further development of digitization across all industries is one of the main priorities of the Czech Presidency CZ PRES (EU2022.CZ). Being the least digitized industry of all and, at the same time, one of the largest contributors to the GDP in all developed European countries, the construction sector must no longer stand aside in this regard! Stagnant levels of labour productivity in the sector underline the urgency of a rapid change.
The core task is to stimulate the flow of data in the industry and accelerate the construction processes through the Building Information Management (BIM) and enhance the technology and data ecosystem of the construction industry. No less important is the introduction of digital transition and BIM in the public sector, revolution in the acceleration of building permit processing, robotization, automation and prefabrication in the construction ecosystem.
The positive news is that the much-needed change is already coming. After decades of under-digitization, the construction sector is making bold moves in a new era. New analyses of the construction technology ecosystem find emerging trends, solutions, and an ever-increasing universe of technology use cases that are disrupting the way we plan, design, and execute projects.
To address these issues and outline possible development paths of the sector towards Construction 4.0, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in professional cooperation with the Czech Standardization Agency (CAS) and the Expert Council for BIM (CZ BIM) – buildingSMART Czech Republic, organizes the Digital Construction conference. Among other things, the conference will address the following questions:
• What are the emerging trends in the construction industry?
• How will the industry evolve in the coming years?
• How can the industry accelerate its transition to a digital future?
The conference aims not only to increase the awareness of the professional audience, but above all to contribute to the rapid translation of the digital revolution achievements to the fullest possible extent into the common construction practice.
