Publishing history

The publishing history of „Studia do dziejów architektury i urbanistyki w Polsce” („Studies on the History of Architecture and Urban Planning in Poland”)  dates back to the pre-war tradition, when the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology published scientific periodicals devoted to the problems of the history of architecture and urban planning of the past and present Republic of Poland.

One of these was the „Biuletyn Historii Sztuki i Kultury” („Bulletin of the Art and Cultural History”) the other, not reactivated after the war, was the periodical „Studia do dziejów sztuki w Polsce” („Studies on the Art History in Poland”).

A specific continuation of the latter was „Studia do dziejów architektury i urbanistyki w Polsce" („Studies on the History of Architecture and Urban Planning in Poland”), published since 2018 as a monographic continuous publication.

Since 2022, the annual „Studia do dziejów architektury i urbanistyki w Polsce” („Studies on the History of Architecture and Urban Planning in Poland”), has been a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
